General Telephone Registration Information

All students (excluding concurrently enrolled High School students) should call the Touch-tone registration system number below at your appointment time or any scheduled time thereafter to register for your classes.   For complete instructions on how to register by phone, please refer to the Telephone registration “Step by Step” instructions.

Touch-tone System: (714) 438-8200

Monday – Thursday:  7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m ; Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ; Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In addition to the Web, there are a limited number of printed class schedules available for pick up in the Admissions office for students who do not have access to a computer.  Please contact the Admissions office for availability.

Upon completion of your initial registration, you must complete the Touch-tone telephone registration appointment form and return it IMMEDIATELY with your payment of fees.   DO NOT MAIL YOUR PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION FORMS UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE REGISTERED.     If paying by check or money order, BE SURE TO POSTMARK YOUR PAYMENT WITHIN 48 HOURS OF YOUR INITIAL REGISTRATION or you will be dropped from your classes.

High School Students - If you are a high school student, you should call the registration help-line (714) 895-8955 at your appointment time.  The Help-line number is listed below.  High school students must submit an application and a special part-time program form approved by the principal and the parent(s) to the Admissions Office prior to calling to register. Note:  Special part-time K-10th grade students must contact the office of Enrollment Services at (714) 895-8121 regarding enrollment eligibility and procedures.

High School students must register by calling the help-line prior to the start of the class. Once classes begin, High School must register in person in the Admissions office.

Fee Payment Options

Payment may be made by Credit Card, Check or Money Order; however students are strongly encouraged to pay by Credit Card using the Touch-tone system.  This is the best payment method to secure your classes.  Also, if we have your email address on file and you pay your fees over the phone by Credit Card, you will receive your program receipt via email within minutes. Important reminders when paying your fees:

1. Fee credits from previous semesters are not automatically applied.  If no fees are owed or you don't owe the full amount for the current semester due to a GWC credit, be sure to indicate that on your green Touch-tone appointment form.

2.  If paying by Check or money order, you are encouraged to hand deliver your materials in order to avoid loss or delay in the mail.  Drop boxes are available at the Admissions Office for this purpose.

Financial Aid Students:

Apply early for Financial Aid.  Contact the Financial Aid Office (714) 895-8394 to make sure your financial aid is posted to your records prior to registration.  All students, including those receiving financial aid, are required to pay or postmark all fees within 48 hours after registration.  Failure to pay by the deadline will cause your classes to be dropped.  BOGG waiver students must pay the College Service Charge, Health Fee, Materials Fees if any, and the Parking fee if applicable.  The BOGG waiver DOES NOT cover these fees.

To complete registration, your fee payment must be made or postmarked within 48 hours after your registration.  Failure to pay your fees by the 48 hour deadline will result in you being dropped from the classes you have chosen.  Those classes will become available to other students for registration.

If you are unable to register by telephone but still wish to enroll in classes, you may bring your Touch-tone Appointment form to the Admissions Office during in-person or late registration. For specific dates and times, see In-Person Registration Procedures.

Instructor permission is required for all classes whether it is open or closed after the first week of classes.

ENROLLMENT OPTIONS FOR CLOSED CLASSES - Students have several options for entering closed classes:

  1. If you were unable to register because ALL of the classes you wish to take were closed during your scheduled telephone registration appointment time, you may continue to call the touch-tone telephone registration system to check for reopened classes through Thursday before classes begin.

2. PETITIONING A CLOSED CLASS – (Instructor Permission Codes – IPC’s)

You may go to the first class meeting to see if space is available as a result of student no-shows.  If you are given permission to enter the class, the instructor will give you a pink permit card with an instructor permission code (IPC) on it.  You will then have the option to either call the touch-tone registration number by the expiration date on the IPC label to register for your class and pay your fees or register in person in the Admissions Office.  (To register by phone, follow the instructions on the Permit Card).   Please Note:  You must have an appointment to be able to register via the touch-tone system.  Appointments are issued in person for late registration.

PROGRAM CHANGES:

You may make changes (adds/drops) to your program by using the Touch-tone telephone system after your initial appointment.  See Touch-tone System Hours for availability.
