Tuition and Fees

Fee Waiver Information

Enrollment Fee:  $20 per unit for eligible California residents *

* Enrollment Fees are subject to change by the State Legislature.

Student Health Service Fee: $14.00 per semester for fall and spring, and $11.00 for summer. This is a mandated fee unless the student presents a waiver. Those eligible for a waiver are:

1. Students who depend solely on prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination, or organization. For further information, call [714] 895-8121.

2. Students enrolled only in courses of less than two weeks duration.

College Service Charge: $12 per semester for fall and spring, and $6.00 for summer. This charge underwrites many student services, classes, and programs. It is not mandatory; however, the College Administration and Student Council expect students to support the College by paying the College Services Charge. $3.00 from each College Services charge goes to the Student Center Renovation Project for the next ten years. Over $200,000 has been endowed for scholarships to students because of this funding. Information about specific programs funded by this charge and requests for waiver of the College Services Charge are available at posted hours in the Student Activities Office during the period between the date class schedules are mailed and the end of telephonic registration. Waivers must be secured in advance and submitted at the time of the student’s payment of fees. You may contact the Student Activities office at (714) 895-8261 for waiver information.

Nonresident: $173.00 per unit. Students who are not California residents as defined by the Education Code are required to pay the non-resident tuition fee in addition to the fees described above. Please note that it is the student's responsibility to prove that he/she is a California resident. Non-residents who are citizens of another country are required to pay an additional $9.00 per unit charge for capital outlay expenses
.

Material Fees: In accordance with regulations of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, Title 5, California Administrative Code, Section 59400 et seq., the Coast Community College District shall provide free of charge to students all instructional materials, except for materials which the District Board of Trustees has approved as required materials for a particular course. The student must purchase these materials from the College at the District cost. The Board has approved such fees because these materials are required to complete the objectives of the course and they are tangible property of continuing value outside the classroom which the student will retain as his or her own property

Parking on campus is by permit only.    Motorcycles and mopeds will have the permit affixed to the left front fork.  Cars without permits properly displayed will be cited.  Vehicles may park only in spaces designated for vehicle parking.  THE PURCHASE OF A PARKING PERMIT DOES NOT GUARANTEE A PARKING SPACE ON CAMPUS. What a parking decal does is entitle you to use on-campus student parking areas on a space-available, first-come/first served basis. Please see Public Safety for detailed parking information and regulations.

Parking permits may be purchased on-line by Credit Card at www.gwc.info.  Click on the “Purchase Parking Permit Online” on the GWC home page.  You will be asked to enter where you would like to have the permit mailed as well as information about your vehicle.  Once the semester begins, upon confirmation of payment you will be given the option to print a “temporary” permit until your official parking permit arrives in the mail.

Daily parking permits can be purchased from the yellow permit dispenser machines located in each parking lot.  Hourly parking is available at meters in the Edinger and Golden West parking lots.

Parking citations are issued in cooperation with the West Orange County Municipal Courts. These citations, if ignored, will affect future vehicle registration privilege.
