Soccer Coaching Staff

	Matt Wells Head Coach Matt Wells leads the team in his 3rd season as the Women's Coach. Coach Wells is the director of soccer, running both the Men and the Women. Matt is a former GWC athlete and graduated from Vanguard University. Matt now coaches the two programs at GWC as well as the Girls at Huntington Beach HS and a boys club team with Wolfpack SC. Matt currently trains as a triathlete and truly enjoys working with the athletes he is fortunate enough to coach. He is supported at home by his wife Brianne and his son Jonah.

	Alex Gimenez Alex Gimenez played with Matt in college and they have coached together for the Men for the past 7 seasons. Together they have built both programs and continue to work on constructing the best overall program possible. Alex teaches at Westminster HS where he also runs the Boys Soccer Program. He holds numerous degrees and is quite busy at home with his wife Griselda and four kids!

	Miguel Ruiz Miguel Ruiz began his coaching career at Huntington Beach HS where he eventually crossed paths with Matt. They work together at the HS coaching the girls, and last year Miguel joined up with the Women's program at GWC. Miguel brings a wealth of soccer experience in all facets. He still plays while continuing to pursue his education. He has brought a lot of soccer knowledge to the female players and continues to do a great job building the program.
