Suzy Brazney
Head Coach

Suzy Brazney, a 19-time ASA All-American, member of three Pan-American Games teams, one World Championship team and 3 ASA National Championship Teams. She also competed for a spot on both the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Teams. She was a member of the Selection Committee that picked the 2004 Olympic Gold Medal Softball Team.

From 2004-2008 Brazney was a member of the USA softball coaching pool. In 2006-07 she served as an assistant coach for the USA Jr. National team that won Gold medals at the Jr. Pan Am games in Puerto Rico and Gold at the Jr. World Championships in Holland. Likeness depicted on the 1996 Olympic Commemorative Stamp.

As a player at Cal Poly Pomona, Brazney was a two time NCAA All American and Broderick Award Nominee and was inducted into Cal Poly’s Hall of Fame in 1994.


Ava

Aya Nakajima
Assistant Coach

Aya Nakajima is a former starter on the University of South Florida’s Division 1 Softball Team from Fall 2006 to Spring 2008. While at USF, Aya was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Softball Team in 2008 and received an Athletic Softball Scholarship in both 2007 and 2008.

Aya is also a former starter on the Golden West College’s Softball Team from Fall 2004 to Spring 2006. While at Golden West, Aya was named to the All-Orange Empire Conference Second Softball Team in 2004 and 2006, and received the Softball Coaches Award in 2004.

Aya was an international student from Japan, and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida. Aya is fluent in both Japanese and English.
