The Golden West College Business Program under the umbrella of the Business and Information Systems Division, offers transfer education, general education, vocational education, and general interest classes.  The Business Curriculum is designed for students seeking careers in business, industry, small business and entrepreneurship, manufacturing, global/international business opportunities, government, and both profit and not-for-profit organizations.

The Business program provides a strong educational foundation which will enable students to advance more rapidly into various employment opportunities as well as supervisory and managerial positions.

Courses in this Program include Business law, Introduction to Business, Legal Environment in Business, Securities and Investments, Personal Finance, Business Communications, Introduction to Business Writing, Business Math, Business Income Tax, plus courses in global/international business such as International Marketing and the Internet, International Payments and Collections, Mexico/NAFTA, Import and Export Procedures, International Marketing, and Survey of International Trade.

The Business Faculty recognizes that all career paths lead to Business in one form or another.  Whether a student pursues a career in medicine, sciences, cosmetology, agriculture, architecture or computer science, all will eventually use his/her knowledge to make a living in the world of business and industry.
